Darko is an evil YouTuber alter ego belonging to Dawko, he first appeared in "a message to Scott Cawthon :)" (AMTSC) which was uploaded on May 10th in 2018, this date being adopted as Darko's birthday in the community.

He appeared again in "51/20 Mode?..." and didn't make another appearance until five years later in 2023 when Dawko took part in a Tik Tok trend which was also uploaded to YouTube however it is unknown whether or not this is truly Darko...

There isn't a whole lot of canon lore to the character but he is a violent individual, having kidnapped Dawko's friends, murdered one of them, and nearly killed another as well.

Outside of Dawko's channel, it was heavily implied that he represents/is related to Nightmarionne from FNAF 4, this assumption primarily based on this reply to fanart in the image below.

In my opinion, I don't think this is the only thing that makes him related to Nightmarionne! In AMTSC, his eyes glow a very light purple -almost white- color much like Nightmarionne's white eyes.

Also the FNAF gang masks which the original Marionette is known for putting onto the victims of William Afton make me think they're related as well; it's just a cool somewhat canon mixed with headcanons thing.

Although he isn't very popular -and is usually mistakened for Dawktrap (Dawko's channel mascot)- he is a beloved character in the small part of the community that knows him and was mentioned by Dawko multiple times throughout 2025.

P.S. I have about 520 headcanons for Darko but for the time being they're sealed away.

In my Dawko Egos AU, they are all siblings living in a house together and Darko is the second middlest. He's known as the forgotten and problematic child (he's not actually a child) and he's not very close with anyone except Poko (Poopet).

He's half-puppet half-human like Poko and his legs are puppet jointed (which means they click when he moves... no sneak attacks.)

Darko's often shouting and snapping at his siblings but he would NEVER. EVER. lay a finger on them despite his history of abduction and murder before he woke up as part of the family.

He's an insomniac, he loves animals (his favorite animals are any canines especially wolves), and he's usually spending his time either venturing the woods (with a curfew though) or just staying in his box (bedroom) probably talking to his plushies or playing on a 3DS that he stole from Dawktrap.

Darko's prized possession is a Foxy plushie that he calls "Bazy" as he believes it's possessed by the man he murdered in his past. He's always carrying that plushie around, he likes plushies in general. Not in a very cutesy quirky way though.

Dawktrap is Darko's #1 enemy because not only did Dawktrap replace Darko as the evil alter ego and become Dawko's channel mascot but also... other reasons. The hate is mutual.

Darko isn't allowed into the kitchen by himself due to the knives in there and although his siblings trust that he'd never hurt them they still don't want him hurting Dawktrap or something so instead he gets to be in the kitchen with supervision and he gets to have a plush knife.

Being that the two are so close together, Poko is the only one that can calm Darko down when he's mad. It's not only a trust thing but also because Poko quite literally has a calming aura that radiates off them.
